Seems really cool, running a test-bed version on my Nook tablet that became a Nexus after many painstakingly annoying roots.
Little Senna at old Rascasse wallpaper for your time. I need to tweak by color settings for system windows and frames, but so far lollipop is quite swift, even on an outdated device like this.

I like it, but the memory leak and the endlessly annoying pop-up notifications are a constant irritation. Roll on 5.1, I suppose. (No notification fixes that I know of, but they should at least have the memory leak under control.)

Are you on 5.0 or 5.1? I'm on 5.0.2 and have had zero issues once I optimized my processor minimum speeds and removed apps I don;t use anymore

Big fan of Lollipop after it rolled out to my phone (last month, I think?). Pretty sweet overall.

5.02. It's perfectly usable - no lag, or stuttering or whatever - but if I don't restart every couple of days, I start to get masses of homescreen redraws, reloading tabs, and occasionally even 'Ran out of memory' messages. It's moderately better on my tablet - Nexus 7 II - than my phone - Nexus 5 - which is a tad odd, considering that it has substantially less powerful hardware.
The notification thing is the main issue, honestly. I can't bloody stand them. And Xposed still doesn't really work with ART, so I can't fix it.

Sucks on Nexus 5. Whoever thought pop-up notifications was a good idea should be taken outside and disemboweled with a wooden cooking spoon.

I wish there were more options on what system notifications showed up, not just all or nothing. I have noticed I need to reboot my M8 every few days or it gets slow, but then I'm only on 5.0.1

There might be a solution in Xposed

Indeed. At the very least, they should be optional; the old ticker worked so much better!
Honestly, the worst bit is the way that, if you swipe a pop-up away - which you'll have to do, as they take ages to go away by themselves - it also removes the notification from the tray. One of my favourite things about Android, going back to freaking Donut, is that the notification tray keeps a record of pretty much everything that happens on your phone, so you can deal with all of it when you've got a second. With the pop-ups, it's deal with it now, or loose it completely—which, as my memory has more holes than your average colander, is a pretty major issue for me.

There isn't. At least for now, Xposed doesn't work with ART, so it's completely useless on Lollipop.

It hasn't roled out on my Droid Turbo yet, so this is a great chance to use it worry free and on a far weaker system to try to explain any and all performance problems before it goeson my flagship

Yeah I really liked the ticker setup. Is it possible to roll back to 4.4?

Do you run a task killer app? i have mine set to repetitive memory purges

If you're willing to root, then certainly. It's actually relatively easy, since you'll just be flashing a factory ROM. I'm really not the person to ask when it comes to specific advice - I fumble my way through pretty much everything - but it should be relatively easy to find a guide with Google. The Nexus 5 has one of the largest modding communities going.

Rom manager -> cyanogenmod nightly release

You can remove that ability in cyanogenmod's dev options. But I agree, my alarm app was on a continuous hash fail this morning and it took me a solid few minutes to remove it.

Nope, I've never liked task killers. I think I'd go back to KitKat first.

I like it too, if you click on the Android version section in the menu a bunch it will take you to a flappy bird game.

Xposed has been out on Lollipop for just under a month.
Although I don't know what you can do with it. Try GravityBox?

Agreed, it slowed mine down considerably.

Ah, cheers: I hadn't seen that. I thought it was still in progress.
I might give it a go on my tablet, but I make a point of avoiding alpha anything on my phone. It's too important.

Yeah it's still new so make sure you know how to disable it, in case anything happens.
